The Wah Wahs are Three Months Old! It’s been such an amazing journey to watch them grow. They are smiling now and oooooing and ahhhhing, such a sweet sweet time. I will admit the nights often feel like we just came home from the hospital (still haven’t cracked that “every three hours” thing). But when we reflect upon the last three months, we can appreciate how far we’ve come. We are slowly but surely getting into “twin” shape.
We took the crazy train (i.e. our family) down to the Broadmoor last weekend to meet up with our other Danielson/Wheeler families. The boys sure enjoyed their king size beds:
But the famous comfy Broadmoor beds were NO match for The Wah Wahs (click on link):
The Wah Wahs v. The Broadmoor
And we realized quickly on the first night why we have never slept with Cal in bed (i.e. he wrestles and jumps with hysteria ALL NIGHT LONG). So somehow, our 3 year old ended up with a king bed to himself.
Fitting for the King of the Universe.
The boys did visit Santa and Cal specifically requested a rocket, a monster and some candy.
But it was a truly wonderful weekend overall and great start to the season. And proof that we are a little more flexible and patient and mobile than we knew.
Finally, we had such a sweet moment with Cal this week that I have to share. On Tuesday night, when Ted was putting Cal to bed, he said “Buddy, I am so proud of you for being a good boy at school today.” Cal paused and was quiet and continued with the book.
But a few minutes later, Cal said “Hey Daddy, tell me again what did I do to make you proud?” So sweet.
